Onboarding
Measure onboarding completion and step drop-off.
Riveora can’t know which of your screens are onboarding, so your app marks the start, each step and the finish. That gives you completion counts and shows the step where people give up.
Mark the flow
onboarding.tsxtsx
import { Riveora } from '@riveora/react-native';
// When onboarding begins
Riveora.onboarding.start('new_user_v1');
// Each step as it appears (index starts at 0)
Riveora.onboarding.stepViewed('new_user_v1', 'pick_goal', 0);
Riveora.onboarding.stepViewed('new_user_v1', 'enable_notifications', 1);
// When the user finishes
Riveora.onboarding.complete('new_user_v1');Use a new flow ID, e.g. new_user_v2, whenever you change the steps, so old and new versions can be compared.
Where it shows up
- Onboarding: how many people start and finish, and each step with how many people reached it, so you can see the step where they give up.
- Overview: onboarding completions in the last 7 days.
- Users: each step, and finishing, in the person’s journey.
